The relationship between God (The Supreme Soul) and the human Soul

The relationship between God (The Supreme Soul) and the human soul is often described as eternal, spiritual, and deeply personal. Across various spiritual traditions, this relationship is understood in different ways, but some common themes emerge:

1.God as the Supreme Father/Parent – God is a divine parent, the ultimate source of all souls. The human soul is considered an eternal child of God, meant to stay in a loving connection with the Supreme Soul.

2.God as the Guide and Teacher – God is often seen as the ultimate teacher who imparts wisdom and helps souls realize their true nature and purpose. This guidance leads to liberation, enlightenment, or spiritual fulfillment.

3.God as the Purifier – The human soul is believed to accumulate impurities through karma and worldly attachments. God is seen as the Supreme Purifier who helps souls return to their original pure state.

4.God as the Supreme Power and Light – The Supreme Soul is the ocean of peace, love, and wisdom, while the human soul is a tiny spark of that divine essence. Staying connected with God through remembrance, meditation, or devotion strengthens and enlightens the human soul.

5.God as the Eternal Companion – The relationship between the human soul and God is eternal  where the soul finds ultimate solace, guidance, and unconditional love in the Supreme Soul.

 Based on this understanding, the human soul (Jivatma) should align its actions and thoughts with divine principles to nurture and maintain this sacred relationship with God (the Supreme Soul). This can be done in several ways:

1.Living with Awareness of God – Constantly remembering that God is the Supreme Father, Guide, and Companion helps the soul stay connected and receive divine wisdom and power.

2.Practicing Virtues – Since God is the ocean of love, peace, and purity, the human soul should cultivate these virtues in daily life, practicing kindness, truth, patience, and humility.

3.Purifying the Soul – Through self-discipline, righteous actions, meditation, and devotion, the soul can cleanse itself of negative karma and return to its original divine state.

4.Following Divine Wisdom – Every spiritual tradition provides teachings that guide the soul toward self-realization and enlightenment. Implementing these teachings helps in fulfilling the purpose of life.

5.Surrender and Faith – Trusting in God’s plan and surrendering to divine guidance brings inner peace and strength, making life’s journey more fulfilling and purposeful.

Ultimately, the human soul should strive to remain in harmony with the Supreme Soul, following the divine path with sincerity, devotion, and selfless service

Knowledge Through Poetry (Especially in Sanskrit)
Poetry makes knowledge last. Verse is easy to remember and simple to transmit, even without writing. In the Sanskrit tradition, wisdom was preserved orally for centuries, carried faithfully through sound and memory. In Sanskrit especially, the power of sandhi allows sounds and meanings to unite within a single, flowing expression. Words do not stand isolated; they merge, resonate, and create a living current of meaning. Poetry enters the heart through rhythm and resonance. No script is required-the Sanskrit word itself, woven through sandhi, shines complete and self-contained. It can travel intact from one heart to another. Even in times of destruction, when manuscripts are lost and structures fall, poetry safeguards knowledge. Memory becomes the temple, sound becomes the scripture, and the living voice becomes the preserver of truth.
Thus, poetry is not merely ornamentation-it is a powerful vessel for holding, protecting, and disseminating knowledge across generations.

Soul – Supreme Soul
In whom the knowledge of the Self abides,
He is, in truth, the Soul described.
In whom the highest wisdom dwells,
Him the seers name Supreme Soul.

Soul – Supreme Soul
In whom the light of Self-awareness shines,
Him the wise call gently-Soul divine.
In whom the boundless, highest wisdom flows,
Him the sages name: Supreme Soul that glows.

The Bond Divine - God and the Soul.

He dwells within all living hearts,
The source whence every life imparts;
His spark in every soul is found
By Him the worlds in light are bound.

Though twain, yet joined, as flame and sun,
In Him the soul and God are one.
Within His work the soul is caught,
By love uplifted, beauty–wrought.

Together still they onward move,
Eternal friends through perfect love;
Though like in essence, not the same
Their power and scope not equal frame.

For boundless is the Lord’s own might,
His joy, His wisdom, pure delight;
But finite is the soul’s domain
A drop drawn forth from boundless main.

The Lord knows all- Himself, the Whole,
The secret home of every soul;
While man, in ignorance confined,
Knows not the height of his own mind.

By veils of darkness chained and blind,
To mortal fate his sense resigned;
But God, the Pure, the Ever Free,
Is Truth and Bliss, Supreme, Eternity.

He is the Light no night can dim,
The Knower vast , all worlds are Him.
The Lord of all - Jagannatha - gleam,
The shoreless Refuge, Peace Supreme.

God truly exists, yet we cannot see,
A presence lost like waves to the sea.
We search for signs, we strain to hear,
Yet silence answers, distant and clear.

Once close, we knew that voice so well,
A warmth within, a holy spell.
But somewhere along the hurried way,
We lost our path; we drifted away.

In endless noise, we drowned His call,
Forgot His love, ignored it all.
Wrapped in the world, we turned our face,
Leaving behind that sacred grace.

But still He waits, a constant light,
Beyond our reach, yet burning bright.
A love that lingers, patient and true,
Waiting for us to remember anew.

If we pause, in silence, in prayer,
We’ll find that God was always there.
Not lost, but near, like breath, like air
A forgotten truth, a whispered care.

The Habit and Mistake of the Jiva

The jiva dwells where once his birth had been,
And thinks that place alone his world has been.

He cries that fate and others bring him pain,
And sees in all around a hostile chain.

He knows not deeds that shaped his present way,
Nor trusts the justice none can take away.

He clings to kin, to caste, to fleeting ties,
And deems them all, beneath illusion’s skies.

Forgetting call divine, so soft yet true,
He weaves his plans in worldly, narrow view.

Thus lost in self, in pride and binding drama,
He fails to see the law of higher karma.

This is his fault, the blindness of the soul-
He leaves the truth that makes the jiva whole.

jiva = a living being
