God is One, and the essence of all religions is the same. The first religion of this world is the Eternal Religion — the timeless, universal truth. All other religions are but branches of this Eternal Religion. It is pertinent to note that the Eternal Religion is known as Sanātana Dharma. Sanātana Dharma is regarded as the Eternal Religion because it embodies eternal and universal truths and principles, believed to be the foundation of all spiritual paths. It is the oldest — and eternal — spiritual tradition in the world, providing the essence from which numerous other religions and philosophies have emerged.
